Bathurst man charged following stabbing: police

26-year-old charged with aggravated assault and breach of undertaking

A 26-year-old Bathurst man has been charged with aggravated assault and breach of an undertaking following a recent stabbing in the city.

Alpha Ousmane Barry was charged April 10 following a disturbance call to a home in West Bathurst April 9, where officers found a man had been stabbed, according to a release from the Bathurst Police Force.

The victim was transported to the Chaleur Regional Hospital with serious but not life-threatening injuries, police said.

Ousmane Barry was arrested shortly and will remain in custody until an April 15 bail hearing, according to police.
