Man arrested following break and enter at store

A 41-year-old man has been arrested by city police in connection to a break and enter early Sunday.

Saint John Police report officers were called to the 100-block of Waterloo Street just before 6:30 a.m. Sunday in regards to reports of a break and enter at a convenience store.

“On arrival, police discovered that the business had been broken into. The building was damaged, but nothing was stolen,” police stated in a media release. “Officers canvassed for surveillance video in the area and identified a suspect.”

Shortly after, at approximately 10 a.m., the 41-year-old suspect was located by police and arrested for break and enter. The man was later released on an undertaking with conditions and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
