'80s rock idol coming to Avenir Centre

Billy Idol, the 1980s hitmaker known for “White Wedding” and “Rebel Yell”, will be taking the stage at the Avenir Centre this summer.
The rocker’s website lists a concert date of Aug. 21 Avenir Centre as part of the Canadian leg of his Idol Live! tour. Other shows are scheduled for Halifax and St. John’s N.L.
Idol, originally from Middlesex, England, is also known for the hits “Mony Mony” and “Dancing With Myself.”
He has been nominated for multiple Grammy Awards in the category of Best Male Rock Vocal Performance.
The VIP ticket presale is on Tuesday, April 9, followed by the public sale on Friday, April 12. Tickets are available on his website at Billyidol.net.
