Jann Arden, Rick Mercer bring comedy show to Moncton

Performers promise a night of 'unscripted, unrehearsed and unrestrained discussion'

Canadian performers Jann Arden and Rick Mercer will bring their “Will They or Won’t They Tour” to Moncton’s Casino New Brunswick April 30, promoter Live Nation announced Monday.

According to Live Nation, Arden and Mercer have teamed up for a show of “unscripted, unrehearsed and unrestrained discussion” as they share laughter and stories from their careers. The show will begin a national tour April 27 in Kitchener, Ont. There are three shows in Atlantic Canada, including the Scotiabank Centre in Halifax on April 29, Casino New Brunswick in Moncton on April 30 and the Mary Brown’s Centre in St. John’s on May 2. Tickets will go on sale Tuesday. Tickets for the Moncton show will be available online at ticketpro.caevenko.ca and livenation.com.

The tour will continue through Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia, with the final show at the Royal Theatre in Victoria, B.C., on May 27.

Jann Arden is an award-winning singer, songwriter, actor, and author who was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame in 2020. She is a member of the Order of Canada, written six books and had her own comedy series on CTV.

Rick Mercer is a well known comedian, comedian, TV personality, author, and Canada’s top political satirist, best known for the Canadian Screen Award winning series Rick Mercer Report. In 2014, he was made an Officer of the Order of Canada. He’s also received The John Drainie Award from ACTRA in recognition of his contribution to Canadian broadcasting and for his “unique approach to raising awareness of Canadian politics and current affairs through the award-winning series This Hour Has 22 Minutes, Made in Canada, and The Rick Mercer Report. He is the sole civilian recipient of the Canadian Armed Forces Commander Land Forces, Command Commendation in recognition of his support of Canadian peacekeepers.
