High winds were blamed for a power outage that affected more than 700 customers in Riverview Monday afternoon.

N.B. Power spokesperson Dominique Couture said high winds caused tees to connect with power equipment, which caused an outage that lasted a few hours. The exact location wasn’t known but it was in the Riverview area. The outage began around noon and power was restored within a few hours. Besides wind gusts, Monday’s weather was sunny with cloudless sky and temperatures up to 10 Celsius.
