City to celebrate contributions of volunteers

The City of Bathurst is gearing up to recognize the contributions of the many community volunteers in the city.
As part of National Volunteer Week, April 14-20, the city will host a volunteer recognition and appreciation night at the K.C. Irving Regional Centre’s Paul Ouellette Room April 18 at 6:30 p.m.
Those interested in having members of their organization attend should fill out the form at Bathurst Recreation and Tourism’s Facebook page with the number of people from their organization who plan to attend. The deadline to register is April 4.
Nominations for the city’s Volunteer of the Year Award also close April 4 at 4 p.m.
Those interested in nominating a volunteer for the award can fill out the form online or a paper copy at the city’s Parks, Recreation and Tourism office located the K.C. Irving Regional Centre.
