Man arrested for October break-in to restaurant

A 33-year-old man has been arrested in connection to a break-in to an uptown restaurant in October of last year, city police report.

Saint John Police report that on Oct. 23, just before noon, officers responded to a report of a break and enter at a restaurant on Prince William Street.

“An unknown man broke into the location during the night and had rummaged through multiple areas and had taken some items from the business,” police stated in a media release issued Thursday.

Saint John Police Major Crime Unit, with the assistance of the Forensic Identification Unit, investigated the incident.

“Recent developments in the case led to the arrest of a 33-year-old man in the early hours of Thursday,” police stated.

The man was taken into custody without incident and was later released on an undertaking to appear in court in August.
