Victims of homeless tent encampment fire identified

Saint John police have identified the two victims who died late last month at a tent encampment fire.

In a media release, police said 35-year-old Jonathan Calhoun and 33-year-old Raeanne Tyler died on March 25. Their bodies were discovered during a tent fire at a Paradise Row encampment.

“The Saint John Police, in cooperation with the Saint John Fire Department and Coroner’s Office continue to investigate the circumstances that led to their death,” police stated in the release adding the force sends its condolences to Calhoun’s and Tyler’s family and friends.
